Any questions?

We've answered your most asked questions here but if you'd prefer a chat, get in touch.

  • What can I hire a yurt for?
Yurts create really versatile spaces. You can hire them for weddings, your birthday party, to host classes and workshops, a big sleepover – the sky is the limit! See our photo gallery for inspiration or check out our instagram.
  • Where can a yurt be erected?
The site needs to be a flat grassy area, well drained, and free of low hanging branches and cables. If you're unsure about the site you have in mind or it is on hardstanding, just get in touch and we’ll have a chat. If the site is close to us, we may be able to pop over for a site visit.
  • Where do you deliver?
We cover Leeds, Harrogate, Knaresborough, York, Skipton, Otley, Ilkley, Wetherby, Ripon, Malton, Masham, Thirsk, Wakefield, Beverley, Selby, Castleford, Pontefract, Barnsley and most of Yorkshire. If you have an event or project outside of this radius, still get in touch as we may be able to help.
  • How much does delivery cost?
Delivery costs depend on the distance and time from our base in Leeds. Get in touch with us and we'll be happy to provide you with a price.
  • How much does it cost to hire a yurt?
This differs according to the yurt size you choose. Take a look at our price list for our most up to date hire prices. Our standard price is for 3-day hire, if you wish to hire for longer, please get in touch as we love longer hires too.
  • What makes you a sustainable business?
Sustainability is one of our core values. It is a key factor in the decisions we make as a business. We plant a tree for every booking with our partner, More Trees. This goes towards offsetting the carbon from your event and also helps combat deforestation. We like to stay local to reduce our travel emissions and use recycled, reclaimed or re-used decor in all our yurts. Even our business cards are made out of recycled t-shirts! Visit our sustainability page for more information.
  • What if the weather’s bad for my event?
We monitor the forecast for two weeks leading up to every event. Yurts can be put up in most weather conditions and if strong winds or snow is forecast, we will provide extra measures and guidance. On booking you will also receive a copy of our wind plan which states what action should be taken for certain wind speeds. More information in our T&C’s.
  • Can I hire a yurt in winter?
Yes, we hire our yurts out all year round and can provide a heater for you. They make excellent grotto’s for Santa, cosy dining experiences and are perfect for a New Years Eve party.
  • Is flooring provided?
We provide a waterproof sheet with a reusable DandyduraTM matting on top. This creates a waterproof barrier so no-one’s feet get wet! Dandydura looks very similar to coir matting but is durable and much easier to keep clean.
  • Can I use my own lighting and furniture?
Yes you can, just run it by us first. We also hire lighting and some decor items to save you some hassle, see our yurts page for more info.
  • Are animals allowed near/inside the yurt?
We love animals, especially dogs and we know how much it means to our customers to have pets be a part of your special event; we only ask that any animals are kept under control near the yurt and not left unsupervised in the yurt. Due to risk of damage to the yurts, we ask that any booking sites are clear of livestock.
  • How many people can fit in a yurt?
It depends if you want your guests seated or standing, please see our yurts page for numbers. Our numbers are a guide; however for safety reasons we do strongly advise you don’t exceed the numbers.
  • How long does a yurt take to set up?
It usually takes us 3 to 5 hours and is best done during daylight hours. We’ll arrange an arrival time to suit you and your event but we’re no strangers to early mornings and late nights!
  • Would I be able to view a yurt before booking?
As we don’t have a permanent site, this can be tricky; however get in touch and we’ll try our best to arrange for you to view the yurts. Our photo gallery shows the yurts in all their glory so it’s a good place to start.
  • Does the yurt need heating?
In the summer months, a heater isn’t always needed as yurts are designed to retain heat and circulate air. In the colder months, we'd recommend a heater to keep everyone nice and cosy. We can add a heater to any of our yurt packages so get in touch to chat to us about it.
  • Can I cancel if things don’t go to plan?
We know things don’t always go to plan so we try to be as flexible as we can. Take a look at our T&C's here.
  • Can you recommend any suppliers to compliment the yurt?
Yes! We’ve worked with some amazing people and we're happy to chat to you about who would work best for your event, just drop us a message here or look at our Friends.
