There are hen weekends… and then there are hen weekends with open water swims, champagne in enamel mugs and glamping under the Yorkshire stars. If you’re planning a hen party and want something unforgettable (and wildly bonding), wild swimming might just be the perfect way to kick things off.

At our group glamping site Wild Bells, on an organic farm just 20 minutes outside Leeds, we host groups of 16-20 in luxury bell tents. It's the perfect balance of earthy and elevated. Ideal for bride to be's who’d choose magical sunset views over nightclub queues.

What's made our site even better is the opening of Swillington Wilds which is only a 2 minute walk down a track from Wild Bells. You can book an exclusive session where you are briefed in open water swimming, get the lake to yourself and you get to exclusive use of a wood fired sauna on the lakes edge.

Wild swimming feels exhilarating, grounding, and just a little bit rebellious — exactly the energy you want before a wedding. It has a way of stripping everything back. There’s no posing, no filters, no wedding planning stress. Just you, your friends and the kind of shared experience that turns into “remember when…” stories for years.

A hen weekend is about connection. And there’s something incredibly bonding about doing something brave together.

If this sounds right up your street, find out more about our group glamping packages here. We specialise in hen weekends but we often get groups celebrating big birthdays or just girls weekends. You can then book your session with Swillington Wilds for your weekend.
