Tips for hosting your 'Last Rodeo' themed hen party

This years top theme for a hen weekend is 'Last Rodeo' and we are loving the outdoor, country vibes that come with it. We've pulled together some inspiration and top tips for hosting you're own 'Last Rodeo' for your bride to be.

First of all the venue, super important for nailing the brief. You want outdoors and countryside with lots of space for activities. Our exclusive use glamping site Wild Bells is perfect for hosting a Last Rodeo. With bell tents for sleeping, an open sided barn for meals and workshops plus lakeside views make it a great site for getting the group together.

Secondly and almost as important as the venue is the dress code. It's the perfect opportunity to live your cow girl fantasy! Think cowboy hats, frilly skirts, cowboy boots. Cow skin print, leather and tassels! Go full Coyote Ugly! Here's Eiylish, bride to be, showcasing cow girl vibes.

Thirdly, there are some great options for 'Last Rodeo' themed activities. An obvious and hilarious choice is hiring a bucking bronco. We have lots of space and a power supply for this at Wild Bells and it's a real hit with the groups. You could also arrange a line dance/barn dance instructor to come to site and show you some moves. As Wild Bells is on an organic farm near Leeds, there's the option to add on a farm tour to go hang out with the horses, cows and Hebridean sheep. This also includes collecting eggs from the hens to use for your breakfast.

Another important part of the theme is the playlist - think Dolly Parton, Beyonce's Texas Hold Em, Taylor Swift and some good old Cotton Eye Joe. All our packages include silent disco all weekend so get those playlists prepared so you can dance the night away to country music.

Get some themed drinks on the go by cracking open the bourbon and making some western themed cocktails. A southern comfort and lemonade would also go down a treat. You can also get little cowgirl boot shot glasses if you really want to go all out.

Lastly, decorations. If you choose the right venue you won't need to decorate much as the surroundings will do most of the work. However it's nice to add personal touches, maybe with some cowgirl hat bunting, hay bales and dried flowers. We also love string with polaroid pics of the bride to be and all of her friends. It's something she can keep when the weekend's over.
